BJP leader Tarun Chugh said, ‘We have complained (to the Election Commission) about the way Rahul Gandhi is conspiring to make (people) fight on the basis of language and region.’
“We told the Election Commission that he is a serial and habitual criminal who lies, hatches conspiracies and diverts people’s attention,” he said.
Earlier today, Congress approached the Election Commission seeking action over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks that if Congress came to power, it would “re-distribute the country’s wealth to fraudsters”. .

Congress, which sharply criticized the comments as “divisive”, told the commission that his remarks were “far worse than any comment made by a sitting Prime Minister in the history of India”.
Congress said, “This cannot go unchecked, unanswered and without punishment.”
The party also said that PM Modi and BJP’s repeated comments inciting religious sentiments have been bolstered by the “inaction of the Honorable Commission” in punishing them for “blatant and direct violation of electoral laws”.
