Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A are confirmed to launch on April 18th. The company revealed that it is changing its naming strategy for its audio product line. So despite being the successor to the Nothing Ear 2, the upcoming Nothing Ear truly wireless earbuds won’t have the number “3” in their name. It will be matched with Nothing Ear A, which is expected to be a cheaper version with streamlined functions. Ahead of its official launch, a new report has leaked some details about the upcoming headphones, including price, design, and key features.
The vanilla Nothing Ear will be the higher-end version of the two models confirmed for launch later this month, Android Headlines reports Report. They are expected to be priced at €150 (approximately Rs. 13,500) and are likely to be available in black and white color options. The report shared leaked images of the earphones, showing that they retain the transparent design of the previous model.
Additionally, the report adds that Nothing Ear is expected to support active noise cancellation (ANC) and dual connectivity. The earphones may be rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, while the case may be IPX2 rated for dust and splash resistance.
The Nothing Ear is expected to have a battery life of up to 7 and a half hours with ANC turned off, and up to 33 hours with the charging case. The case is also said to feature fast charging, with a 10-minute charge said to provide 10 hours of playtime.
Meanwhile, the Nothing Ear A is expected to be priced at €100 (approximately Rs. 9,000). The report shared images of the earphones, which will be available in black, white, and yellow color options. The yellow version is said to offer a more environmentally friendly design. The report adds that if this is true, the packaging of the headphones may also be eco-friendly.
According to the report, based on the leaked information, the only differences between Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A are the IP rating and battery life. Nothing Ear A is also expected to support ANC, dual connectivity, and fast charging. However, these headphones are expected to offer 8 hours of playback time without ANC, and a total battery life of 38 hours using the charging case. While the Nothing Ear A earphones are said to have an IP54 rating, the charging case is likely to have an IP55 rating.
