The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted multiple raids in Jammu and Kashmir as part of a crackdown on elements suspected of being involved in terror financing and youth radicalization, officials said.
Raids are being carried out at different places, including Gujjar Nagar and Shaheedi Chowk in Jammu city, they added.
Officials said NIA sleuths raided a private school and premises linked to three of its staff, including the home of its chairman.
The residences of two former Jammu and Kashmir Jamaat-e-Islami leaders were raided in Kulgam district, officials said.
They added that the attack was carried out at the residences of former Jamaat chief Sheikh Ghulam Hassan and another leader Sayyal Ahmed Raishi.
Jammu and Kashmir Jamaat-e-Islami was banned by the Center for five years in February 2019.
