‘Challengers’ star Josh O’Connor wants to play ‘Dark Willy Wonka’

Josh O’Connor, Challengers Looks like the star’s got some deep thoughts.

The actor is currently starring in Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers and further revealed which character he would love to play in the future.

Artist reveals desire to do a “dark” version of Roal Dahl’s Willy Wonka character Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,

“I would love to play Willy Wonka,” O’Connor said in an interview. WSJ Magazine, “But like a dark Willy Wonka.”

O’Connor explained that he only recently became aware of the film starring Timothée Chalamet in Wonka, the origin story of the Willy Wonka character.

He added, “But I would really like to play a darker version of her.”

Crown The actor also said he thinks it’s the Gene Wilder version of the character from the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory “it is very dark.”

“It’s not dark in a scary way. I think he’s a really angry guy,” he said.

“These kids win a competition to go around the chocolate factory and they all disappear. I mean, it’s kind of crazy and dark. So I think they’re just playing with the truth of it.”
