Netflix releases official trailer Bumps: Part 5 Wednesday. The show will premiere on April 18.
The official synopsis for the upcoming installment reads: “Benny Upshaw (Mike Epps) is the charming, well-intentioned mechanic who heads a black working-class family in Indianapolis , but it’s been a mess his whole life, just trying to do his best to step up and take care of his family.”
His family includes his wife Regina (played by Kim Fields), two young daughters (played by Kali Spraggins and Journey Kristen), Jamel Simon plays the couple’s eldest son.
Additionally, Benny is the father of a teenage son (played by Diamond Lyons) whom he fathered with another woman (played by Gabrielle Danes).
While dealing with family chaos, Benny also tolerates his sarcastic sister-in-law (featuring Wanda Sykes) who doesn’t have a blueprint for success.
Epps and Sykes return to host the fifth installment of the sitcom, bringing energy to multiple projects. He holds the following honors: Friday franchise, the Hangover franchise, Dolemite is my name, loser, and mrs webb.
Meanwhile, Sykes cherishes his comedy credits, including Old Christine’s New Adventures, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Darker.
