Myanmar opposition claims drone attack on capital

A coalition of groups opposed to Myanmar’s military rule said on Thursday it had targeted two military installations in a drone strike in the capital, Naypyitaw.

The Government of National Accord said in a statement that the targets included military headquarters and an air base.

Agence France-Presse cited a statement from the junta saying it shot down seven drones.

There were no immediate independent reports of any damage or casualties.
