Chennai Super Kings star cricketer MS Dhoni has a huge fan base across the world and reports that he may retire after the season has made his fans even more excited for IPL 2024. Over the years, fans and pundits alike have been in awe of Dhoni’s tactical genius and explosive batting, but his batting performances have been sparse this season. South Africa’s legendary fast bowler Dale Steyn spoke about Dhoni’s impact on IPL 2024 and even expressed his desire to watch the veteran cricketer bat more in the tournament.

“It’s not only swallowed up the IPL. It’s swallowed up a lot of South Africans and myself too and to be honest I don’t watch a lot of TV but when the IPL starts I seem to be glued to my seat and my girlfriend said: ‘My TV Broken down, now it’s just cricket and MS the other night, which is what we want to do.”

“You know, I’ve been on the receiving end of it before. I watched it from a fan perspective and I loved it. I mean, I was in a much better mood because of what I just saw. So can we More MS Dhoni in the middle? That would be great,” he further added on Jio Cinema.

Dhoni turned back time in IPL 2024 against Mumbai Indians when he hit 3 consecutive sixes and scored 20 runs in just 4 deliveries with a strike rate of 500 runs.

“The young keeper scoring those three sixes helped us a lot and it proved to be the difference. At this kind of pitch, we need 10-15 extra runs,” CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (Ruturaj Gaikwad) said.
