A murder suspect has been arrested at Heathrow Airport hours after a man was hit and killed by a car in east London.
The Metropolitan Police said officers and paramedics were called to Barking Road in Newham at 5.11am on Sunday to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
A 35-year-old man was found injured at the junction with Aragon Road and died a short time later.
At 3.30pm, a 33-year-old man was arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of murder.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and two people remain in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, who is leading the investigation, said: “My thoughts are with the victim’s family who face an extremely difficult time.
“They will be supported by our family liaison officers as our investigation continues.
“I know a number of people attended an event on Barking Road overnight and many people witnessed this incident. I am appealing to these people to come forward immediately. Your information may be vital to the investigation.
“Forensic collision investigators have been working at the scene throughout the day and although we do not believe there is any risk to the wider community, officers will remain in the area over the coming days to provide reassurance.”
