Mumbai Metro services were disrupted on Tuesday as operations between Dahisar and Kandivali West stations were disrupted. The reason behind the halt of services is not yet known, however, it has left stranded passengers in distress.
With no prior notice about the stoppage, passengers took to social media to post their complaints and experiences. Some passengers were also seen walking on the tracks after train services were affected.
One of the users took to Twitter and posted the video saying, “Probably the first incident where Mumbai Metro got stuck in the middle and passengers landed on the tracks near Eksar Road station. #mumbaimetro @mumbaimetro01 Please clarify whether the metro is working properly or not so that we can plan our day accordingly.
Another user who said he was stuck in Gundavali said he was sitting inside the stationary metro for more than 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, another user posted that the reason for the disruption of services was attributed to “Sankranti kite flying”.
Major issue on Line 2A #MumbaiMetroIt is being said that this has happened due to Sankranti kite flying.
Trains are running only in Dahisar East to Gundavali section. No trains on L2A.
“End of journey” is being displayed on destination boards outside the trains.
