MS Dhoni will once again don the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey in the upcoming Indian Premier League. The legendary skipper, who led CSK to a record-tying five IPL titles, will make his comeback to competitive cricket when the 17th edition of the cricket tournament begins in Chennai on March 22. Dhoni’s CSK will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first match of IPL 2024 and the skipper seems to be ready for the game.
A video has gone viral on social media in which Dhoni can be seen hitting some mammoth sixes during a CSK training session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Fans couldn’t keep calm after seeing Dhoni’s horrific six. Some even suggested that Dhoni should start for the team in IPL 2024.
“Msd should open with ruturaj for CSK,” one fan wrote. Another fan wrote: “We will see MSD at its peak.”
Many are speculating that IPL 2024 will be Dhoni’s last one. Former cricketers, some of whom played with MS Dhoni, discussed his future on Jio Cinema.
Talking about MS Dhoni’s association with CSK, his old teammate Suresh Raina said: The best thing about MS is that he came to Chennai a month or three weeks before the IPL. He batted in wet conditions for about two to three hours and did gym sessions. The team bonded very closely during this time, which I think is amazing. “
Former CSK player Robin Uthappa on the reason behind MS Dhoni’s retirement said: “Even if he was in a wheelchair, CSK would let him bat! Come out of the wheelchair, bat and go back. But I don’t think hitting is an issue for him, and I don’t think hitting is ever going to be an issue for him. I think it’s goalkeeping. The knees are wearing out, but he loves goalkeeping. So, because he can’t stand in there and add value, he could be out of the game for any other reason.
