A mother who performed a “brutal exercise” on her three-year-old son has been found guilty of murder.

In November 2022, Christina Robinson, 30, lost her temper and violently shook her son Dwelaniyah at their home in Bracken Court, Ushaw Moor, Durham.

Video released by the Crown Prosecution Service shows the moment police arrived at her door after the incident.

Robinson appeared calm as he explained his version of events while emergency services worked to treat Devlanier.

A few weeks ago, she deliberately immersed him in scalding water, causing severe burns and excruciating pain.

After a three-week trial, Robinson was found guilty of murder and four counts of child abuse.
