A dapper Belfast kid stole the show when Queen Camilla visited a bakery in Northern Ireland and was “absolutely obsessed” with her.
Queen On a solo tour of Lisburn Road in south Belfast on Thursday, I stopped at Knotts Bakery and other food outlets.
There, the royals met young Fitz Corey Salmon, who was a month shy of his second birthday but dressed in a tuxedo to make a lasting impression.
The Queen smiled as the boy walked into the bakery run by his father, William Corrie, and the Queen giggled, smiling down at the boy as someone joked that he was stealing her spotlight.
“We have a natural affinity for cameras,” she said.
Speaking on Sky News Sarah Jane Mee, “Britain Tonight”Parents William Corrie and former Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon said the Queen made their son feel “at ease”.
“Oh, I think he liked her so much and she made him feel so relaxed that he moved on…loving life,” Ms Salmon said.
“He felt reassured because she was so warm and welcoming.”
She said it was a day the family would “forever remember” as the day she kept little Fitz up late for an interview with Sky News and kept him busy eating a bowl of grapes.

“It’s something to celebrate for the whole family and we’re so grateful that Fitz was able to be there and be a part of it and he’s really doing great,” she added.
She said she picked out Fitz “immediately,” asking what his name was and commenting on his outfit.
Mr Corrie said Camilla took a fruit loaf from the bakery “to enjoy later”.
Camila says kingShe, who is undergoing cancer treatment, was disappointed not to travel to Northern Ireland with her as she received a get well card and well wishes for him, adding “he is doing great”.
