A key component of the MoU is to share best practices to support river conservation and improvement, flood protection, rainwater absorption and climate resilience in the MMR. The exchange of expertise extends to enhancing the air quality index and setting up urban sponges in the surrounding areas.

Facilitation of globally recognized practices such as promotion of circular economy practices such as waste-to-energy solutions and efficient waste management will also be one of the components.

Through this collaboration, development of blue and green infrastructure will be achieved in MMR to implement improvements in air quality and rain water absorption.
