Mitchell made his IPL debut for the Bengaluru franchise in the 2022 season and since then he has played only 2 games and scored 33 points. In the 2023 season, the 32-year-old failed to participate in the game due to injury.
On the other hand, Ravindra will make his T20 debut in the 2024 season.
CSK’s preliminary camp started on March 2 and Chepauk was joined in the training camp by the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Mukesh Choudhary and Prashant Solanki.
CSK have been hit by injuries before the start of the season, with New Zealand opener Devin Conway expected to miss at least the first half of the game after undergoing thumb surgery. Convis suffered a finger injury during New Zealand’s third T20I against Australia.
CSK will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first match of IPL 2024 on March 22 in Chepauk.
