Parinav, a 12-year-old boy from Bengaluru who was missing since Sunday, has finally been found at Nampally Metro station in Hyderabad and his family is on the way to bring him back home.

Sharing a video message, Parinav’s mother said that her son – found at Nampally Metro station in Hyderabad – is safe. He folded his hands and thanked everyone “for their support” and said that they were going to bring him back from there.

The boy was last seen in CCTV footage near Majestic Bus Station in Bengaluru around 4:30 pm on January 21. Since then, her father – Sukesh – has been responding to every single phone call, SMS or mail received on her phone. Hope the solution will be found.

His father said that Parinav was fond of pens and his uncle would often gift him expensive pens, but he was seen trying to sell the Parker pen that he owned.

Speaking to News18, Sukesh had said, “On Sunday, he was seen using the public toilet behind the BMTC bus stop. Later, after using the washroom, he tried to sell his Parker pen, which is expensive, to a person for Rs 50 as he had no money. He is trying to make a living by selling his goods. We hope to be able to bring him back home soon.”

The boy had gone to his coaching classes wearing a yellow T-shirt and navy blue pants and was carrying a dark-coloured school bag with ‘Allen’ written on it.

A conductor of the bus in which Parineav boarded from near his coaching centre, identified the boy and confirmed that he had got down near Marathahalli market. Police were told that the 12-year-old boy got down because he did not have enough money for a ticket beyond that point.

The police had formed three teams and maintained a 24×7 surveillance to trace Parineev with the help of CCTV cameras installed across the city.

Whitefield police station had registered a case at that time under section 363 (punishment for kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
