The Miss Jamaica Organization has shared a social media message about Gabrielle Henry’s public fall and “healing” and “recovery” following the island’s devastation by Hurricane Melissa.

“Our primary focus is on Gabrielle’s recovery and the well-being of her loved ones. We ask that we continue to maintain compassion, sensitivity and privacy as the family goes through this challenging period.”
In footage of the event circulated online, Henry can be seen posing at the front of the stage in an orange bejeweled gown and high heels, when she suddenly falls to the ground.
A few hours later, the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization released a statement on Instagram informing fans that she had been taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital near Bangkok, where “medical professionals are caring for her and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries.”
