Meta’s X competitor Threads has started testing a much-requested feature called “Save Posts” on the app, allowing users to bookmark favorite posts to revisit later.
Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced the feature in a Threads post on Wednesday, noting that the company had just begun limited testing.
“We’ve started limited testing of a much-requested feature: the ability to save posts on threads. Bookmark your favorite posts and revisit them later, just like you do on Instagram,” Mosseri explain.
Test users can access the new save feature via the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of a post.
He also asked users to recommend other features they’d like to see on Threads.
“What other features would you like to see on Threads?” Mosseri wrote.
At the same time, the company announced that the number of monthly active users of Threads has reached 130 million, an increase of 30 million from the previous quarter. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call that Threads is “growing steadily.”
Threads launched in July last year and broke records, reaching 100 million registered users in its first five days. But as time went on, interest faded.
