Mark Wahlberg sued by David Beckham for ‘fraud’

Mark Wahlberg finds himself in legal trouble as David Beckham files a lawsuit against F45 Training, which Wahlberg partially owns.

The 48-year-old former England football captain claimed in court documents that the fitness agency “tricked” him into signing a contract with them. US Weekly the report said.

Beckham originally signed on as an F45 global ambassador in August 2021 when he moved to Los Angeles. He now claims in court documents that he never received the $10 million proposed in the contract.

He was allegedly promised stock as compensation, but those promises never materialized after the stock price appeared to plummet. The lawsuit also names Wahlberg’s investment company of the same name.

Wahlberg’s lawyers filed a motion to dismiss as they denied the allegations, calling the “fraudulent conduct” accusations baseless, The Sun reported.

“The SAC has 209 pages and 610 paragraphs [complaint] “It attempts to make up for its lack of merit in length,” Wahlberg’s attorney wrote in response.

Beckham and former golfer Greg Norman jointly sued F45 Training in late 2022, but a judge ordered them to separate the suits.

Wahlberg owns more than 30% of the company, which was founded in 2011, and serves as chief brand officer.
