Man wearing balaclava smashes window of London bus near Heathrow Airport

This is the horrifying moment a balaclava-wearing thug smashed the windows of a London bus as horrified passengers on board filmed him.

In a video posted on social media, a masked man appeared to break the front window of a double-decker bus with a metal pole at Bath Road station in Harrington, west London, at 9pm on Tuesday.

As the vandal moved to the side of the 105 bus from Heathrow Airport, he looked directly into the camera and continued to break the side window.

The siren sounded and the driver tried to speed off, but the man continued the attack, smashing the bus’s rear window. He then fled the scene.

Scotland Yard said no arrests have been made so far.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 7.20am on Wednesday 10 April to reports of an incident posted on social media which allegedly occurred at 9pm on Tuesday, showing a man smashing a No. A bus next to the 105 bus stop outside the Foote Hotel., Bath Road, Harrington towards Greenford Station.

“The video shows a man wearing a balaclava smashing the windscreen and side windows with a long pole or blunt object before fleeing the scene. No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CAD 1208/10APR.”
