A 23-year-old man was stabbed by a teenager and his three friends for performing stunts and riding recklessly on a bicycle in the district’s Shikaripura town, police said on Wednesday.

The victim, Sushil, who worked as a computer operator in a college, was stabbed in the chest and abdomen. However, his condition is said to be stable, they said.

According to police, Susheel was taking his pet dog for a walk on Tuesday night when he saw a 16-year-old boy performing wheelies and riding a bicycle recklessly. He scolded the boy and the two got into a heated argument. The boy left the scene and later arrived near the victim’s home with three of his friends. The boy and his accomplice stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. A senior police officer said he was out of danger.
