Earlier on Tuesday, the Trinamool supremo lashed out at the BJP-led Center, calling it a “Jumla” government and claiming that it never stood with the people in times of need and calamities.
“I thought I would not say this but this is a JUMLA government. Even yesterday, the Center had a meeting with the Reserve Bank of India. Where is the fairness here? Fair elections mean that in a democracy, everyone There must be justice. We don’t want to be partial in any form of relief. Our government is humanitarian. How did the Prime Minister ask his staff to donate money? I did not ask my party workers to do such a thing. The BJP has never stood by the people in times of need and calamity,” she said at the Charity Fellowship Church in Jalpaiguri.
