Malawi tests GM corn to fight hunger, agricultural pests

Malawi has begun trials of genetically modified corn in a bid to curb recurring hunger and pests such as fall armyworm and caterpillars. The trials come against a backdrop of concerns about the possible health and environmental impacts of genetically modified organisms. Ramek Masina reported from Lilongwe.
