Mahira Khan breaks silence on second pregnancy, clarifies status of her Netflix series

Recently, a post appeared on the social media platform Reddit claiming that Pakistani actress Mahira Khan may be pregnant with her second child. It also added that she has taken a step back from her esteemed projects, Netflix’s Jo Bachey Sang Samait Lo and another as-yet-untitled film. The actress has now reacted to the incident and released a statement.

To clear up the misunderstanding, she told The Express Tribune: “The news that I am pregnant is not true. I have not left the Netflix series.” Actress denies pregnancy rumors.

The Reddit post reads: “So, I got this news from a source close to the situation that she is opting out of this esteemed Netflix project as well as a big movie because she is due to give birth somewhere in August or September She is giving birth to her second child. If she chooses to announce after giving birth, she may announce it soon or she may not announce it, but she is a big star and cannot keep a low profile for too long. I personally think she will announce it.”

The actress got married for the second time in October 2023 to Pakistani businessman Salim Karim. Before Salim, Mahira was married to Ali Askari. The couple soon became parents and gave birth to a baby boy named Azlan. However, the two decided to part ways in 2015.

During an interaction with the FWhy podcast, Mahira revealed the bond she shares with her ex-husband Ali Askari. She even revealed Azlan’s relationship with her ex-husband’s second wife and son. Mahira said she and Ali have respectfully accepted each other’s new families, and even their child, Azlan, has a good relationship with her son from her previous marriage.

Mahira Khan is known for her impeccable and versatile performances in various Pakistani shows and projects such as Humsafar, Bin Roye, Hum Kahan Ke Sachay They, Razia. She made her Bollywood debut in the 2016 action thriller “Raees” with Shah Rukh Khan, which also made her a famous Indian actress.
