Mahabharata actor Nitish Bharadwaj files mental harassment complaint against estranged IAS wife

Actor Nitish Bharadwaj has reportedly lodged a police complaint against his wife Smita Gate, who serves as deputy chief secretary of the MP Human Rights Commission, alleging harassment and misconduct Well behaved behavior. Nitish contacted the Bhopal police chief on Wednesday and submitted a written complaint against his wife, Free Press Journal reported.

In his complaint, Nitish reportedly accused Smita of preventing him from meeting their twin daughters Devyani and Shivranjani. He also claimed that his wife had been changing their daughters’ schools to prevent him from attending theirs, which he claimed had a negative impact on his mental health.

He reportedly asked CP to help him meet his daughters. Reports also stated that investigating officer Parguni Dixit is probing the case. Nitish Bharadwaj and his IAS officer wife Smita have filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage. They married in 2009 and separated in September 2019. Smita currently lives in Indore with her daughter.

Talking about their divorce, which is still pending in court, he had earlier told TOI, “All I can say is that sometimes divorce can be more painful than death because you live with an amputated core.” He added Dow: “When families break up, it’s the children who suffer the most. Therefore, parents have a responsibility to ensure that the collateral damage suffered by their children is minimized.”

Nitish is best known for his role as Lord Krishna in the popular TV series Mahabharata. He has also starred in other popular TV series and movies like Vishnu Puran, Mohenjo Daro, Kedarnath and Samantar Season 1-2. Bharadwaj’s character of Lord Krishna was highly appreciated and worshiped by the audience and he became a demi-god along with the character.
