India is experiencing an AI boom with the launch of a new Android tablet powered by BharatGPT and using a MediaTek chipset for improved performance. MILKYWAY tablets offer many AI-centric features catering to the education sector and are looking to capture the market with a focus on public schools across the country. The tablet runs Android and has a sleek design with cameras on both sides.

MILKYWAY Android Tablet powered by BharatGPT: What’s new in this device?

The company behind the tablet focused on several aspects, including ease of repair and using sustainable materials to develop the device. If that’s not enough, this affordable tablet also comes with artificial intelligence capabilities. The company also notes that making the tablet repairable means you don’t have to spend a fortune to fix it.

MILKWAY tablet is powered by MediaTek chipset and comes with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. It comes with an 8-inch HD display and supports Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE connectivity. It runs Android 13 out of the box and comes with a 5100mAh battery. It has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for video calling.

The power of artificial intelligence on this tablet is enabled by BharatGPT, which looks like the Indian incarnation of ChatGPT. The company said the virtual assistant can assist students using different tools such as voice assistants, video and chat assistants. It also provides them with a real-time voice translation application. These features are free for the first year, with varying subscription fees thereafter.

MILKYWAY tablets place a heavy emphasis on AI helping students, so it will be interesting to see how well they actually work for students. The tablet isn’t yet commercially available, so we don’t have a price tag on the product. Artificial intelligence is making its way into our phones, laptops and even wireless headphones, so it’s understandable that tablets will gain AI share, and this device could be the start of bigger things to come.
