Farmers protest, ‘Delhi Chalo’ march live: Security continued to be heightened at the inter-state border between Punjab and Haryana for the third day on Thursday as protesting farmers insisted on reaching the national capital Delhi. The BKU-Ugrahan may block railway tracks in Punjab today in solidarity with farmers marching towards Delhi. Meanwhile, three Union ministers will meet farmer leaders in Chandigarh today for the third round of talks. Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said the meeting with ministers Arjun Munda, Piyush Goyal and Nityanand Rai will be held at 5 pm today.

Demands of farmers’ protest in 2024

Several farmer associations – mainly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab – today started a protest march demanding a law guaranteeing minimum support price (MSP), which they had set when they agreed to withdraw their agitation against One of the conditions.
