French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday blasted the long-stalled free trade agreement between the European Union and the South American Mercosur bloc during a visit to Brazil.
“The deal negotiated today is a very bad deal for you and for us,” Macron told an economic forum in Sao Paulo.
“Let us have a new agreement… one that is responsible from a development, climate and biodiversity perspective,” he added.
