Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wealth increased by 41 per cent to Rs 529.50 crore in the last five years, while he declared an income of Rs 57.75 crore for the year 2022-23.
Mr Jagan had declared assets worth Rs 375.20 crore during the 2019 assembly elections.
Local YSR Congress Party leaders from Pulivendula filed nomination with the authorities on behalf of Jagan on Monday.
According to the Election Commission affidavit, Jagan’s wife Bharathi Reddy has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 176.30 crore.
The YSR Congress chief is contesting from Pulivendula assembly constituency.
Bharti also has 6.4 kg of gold and diamonds whose market value is Rs 5.30 crore.
Most of Jagan and his wife’s wealth is in the form of their shares in various companies – Bharti Cements, Saraswati Cements and Sandur Power.
Jagan is named in at least 26 FIRs, most of them filed by the CBI and ED before he became CM.
