Srinagar, June 27: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha interacted with National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at the Special National Integration Camp at Chiner Auditorium, Badami Bagh Cantt, Srinagar today.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated the NCC Directorate, Jammu -Kashmir and Ladakh, Headquarters 15 Corps and Headquarters 31 sub -areas, which for organizing special national integration camps to provide an opportunity to the youth from different parts of the country to provide an opportunity to highlight the culture and traditions from different parts of the country and to provide an opportunity for rich examples of unity in diversity.
“National Cadet Corps shapes young minds and proudly serves society and nation. NCC cadets have displayed courage and novel approach to challenges for social progress. Precious values such as discipline, team work, leadership and dedication have helped NCC cadets to create a better future,” said Lt. Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor highlighted the invaluable contribution of National Cadet Corps, one of the country’s largest and most dynamic youth organizations to strengthen national unity. He said, NCC has preserved and promoted the cultural values and traditions of the nation.
“I see NCC’s talented young men and women as the patron of the ancient civilization of India. Also, NCC cadets across the country, participating in this special national integration camp, will become the brand ambassador of Jammu and Kashmir,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
The Lieutenant Governor called upon the youth to increase the spirit of ‘nation first’ and motivate people to perform their duties towards the nation.
“Young is our hope for a bright future. Youth are the most valuable assets for any region and government. Youth are true catalysts of change in society. Youngsters should reduce the intense values of NCC – discipline, unity, leadership and selfless service and selfless service and selfless service and selfless service and wilkus service and willing service and collectively work to work collectively.
He said that the message should also be told through the special national integration camp that the participation of youth in the plan and development process at the ground level should be ensured so that socio-economic development can be fully felt.
The NCC should be seen as a bridge between administration and young aspirations. By taking advantage of NCC’s network and connect, we can ensure active participation of youth in various nation-building activities.
This special camp is an opportunity to reflect on the progress made to achieve the goal of young-educated development and to prepare a roadmap for the future, the Lieutenant Governor further said.
The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the notable efforts of NCC cadets during Operation Sindoor. He said, “Our NCC cadets arrived at the occasion during difficult times. Beyond their selfless service in relief camps in the border districts, they also continuously organized blood donation drives. Through these commendable works, they have unevenly elevate the reputation of NCC,” he said.
On the occasion, NCC cadets gave a panoramic performance, which clearly demonstrates India’s rich and diverse cultures. 340 cadets and NCC officials across the country are participating in the camp.
GOC 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava; Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Department, Shantmanu; Additional Director General, NCC CEO J&K and Ladakh, Major General Anupinder Bewali; Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Bidhuri; Commissioner Secretary, Youth Service and Sports, Sarmad County; Officers of NC Directorates, NCC CAD from across the country were present.
Padma Shri Farooq Ahmed Mir; Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labaro and senior officers, police and security forces of Civil Administration were also present.
