King Frederick and Queen Mary are set to embark on an official overseas tour since inheriting the Danish throne in January.

The newly crowned King and Queen will be on a state visit to Norway, where they will also celebrate a special romantic occasion, their 20th wedding anniversary on May 14, via UK News.

The Danish prince met his Australian-born wife at Sydney’s Slip Inn bar during the 2000 Olympics. They tied the knot in Copenhagen Cathedral in 2004.

The milestone comes after the couple’s marriage was rocked by rumors of Frederic’s affair with a Mexican socialite.

While the Danish couple seemed to be on the verge of separation, Queen Margrethe’s shocking abdication reportedly brought them together.
