King Frederick and Queen Mary fly abroad to celebrate Easter holidays

King Frederick and Queen Marie secretly flew on vacation together, leaving Queen Margaret as head of state.

A palace spokesman told Danish media H&Nabout the King and Queen of Denmark’s travel plans during their children’s Easter holidays.

Frederic and Marie have four children: Crown Prince Christian, 18, Princess Isabella, 16, and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, 13.

Queen Margrethe announced in her New Year’s address that she would abdicate after 52 years of service, becoming the first Danish monarch to abdicate in nearly 900 years.

Rumors of an affair between her son and a Mexican socialite emerged in October 2023 after he was photographed enjoying a cozy night out in Madrid.

Royal expert Phil Dampier advises daily mail This decision may have been taken to “save” her son’s marriage to Mary.

“Margaret may have feared that something was wrong with their marriage, so she had to take action,” the author continues.

“She now wants Frederick and Mary to mend their differences and work together as the new king and queen.”

Any friction between the couple appears to have been resolved given that their families are abroad.

Additionally, King Frederick talked about the importance of taking time to rest in his book The King’s Word, which he seems to be following.
