King Charles expected to be emotional on Easter Sunday due to ‘painful’ past

King Charles has heartbreaking memories of Easter Sunday as it will be the third anniversary of the death of his beloved father, Prince Philip.

Royal expert Phil Dampier spoke of the 75-year-old monarch’s heartbreak ahead of her upcoming holiday later this week.

The king will attend the Easter Sunday church service at St George’s Church with his wife Queen Camilla due to cancer.

Dampier told reporters: “It’s great news that the King is well enough to accompany the Queen and other members of the royal family to the Easter Sunday service in Windsor.” Excellent.

“But it will be a poignant day and holiday for him as he looks back on Easters past.”

The royal expert claimed: “His beloved father Prince Philip died three years ago on Easter Sunday at the age of 99, just two months short of his 100th birthday.”

“Charles had planned a birthday party for him, but he told him, ‘I still have to be here, don’t I?'” Charles replied: “I knew you were going to say that.” ” revealed the royal expert.

“For a long period of his life the two were not close, but in later years their bond was very strong and the king grew to love and respect his father,” he added.

The late Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9 at the age of 99. His cause of death was classified as advanced age.
