‘Keep the chat private’: Cheeky Shubman Gill’s sledding moment with James Anderson

Shubman Gill wowed the Dharamshala crowd with a powerful knock in the fifth and final Test against England on Friday. Gill made his debut for India in the 2019 ODI format against New Zealand. Since then, he has played 44 50-over games, scoring 2271 runs at a strike rate of 103.46.

The 24-year-old made his Test debut against Australia in 2020 and has since played 25 matches and 46 innings, scoring 1492 runs. Meanwhile, the right-handed batsman made his T20I debut in 2023 against Sri Lanka and has since played 14 20-plus games and scored 335 runs at a strike rate of 147.58.

Currently, Gill has 4098 international matches to his name.

In the ongoing fifth Test match against England in Dharamshala, Gill scored 110 runs with a strike rate of 73.33. After facing 150 deliveries, he hit 12 fours and 5 sixes. His brilliant knock came to an end after James Anderson dismissed him in the 63rd over of the second session.
