Veteran American journalist and presenter Katie Couric recently announced the arrival of her grandson on Instagram, sharing a series of photos of the newborn and details of her birth on Saturday, March 23.
Couric wrote in the post’s caption: “John Albert Dombrowski was born on his due date, Saturday, March 23 at 8:23 a.m., just 7 pounds shy of his due date. In memory of his maternal grandfather, He will be called Jay,” she wrote. To my late husband who passed away in 1998.
The caption further read: “Mom and dad are ecstatic, I’m so excited to have my first grandchild, Carrie can’t wait to be a cool aunt, and Mona is enjoying handing out cigars. We feel so lucky. We will Possession will have more on that tomorrow at Wake Up Call.”
Couric’s daughter Ellie was born to her husband Mark Dobrosky on Saturday, March 23, the couple’s first child.
The 67-year-old reporter announced her daughter’s pregnancy in December 2023 and shared the moment Ellie revealed the shocking news.
