New Delhi:
Catherine, Princess of Wales, may address her health issues at a public event amid speculation surrounding her months-long absence from the public.
Catherine, known by her maiden name Kate Middleton, may discuss her recovery at a public event, British newspapers reported “The Times” reports Saturday.
“I can imagine that the princess might discuss her recovery during her engagement. If she was going to do that, she would,” a royal source told The Times.
“I hope it’s her instinct and it will be her decision. They won’t be in a hurry,” the daily quoted a source as saying.
Kate and her husband, Prince William, are also expected to continue their tradition of releasing a new photo each year to mark their children’s birthdays. Their youngest child, Prince Louis, will turn six on April 23.
Kate Middleton hasn’t been seen since abdominal surgery
Kate Middleton, 42, has not been seen in public since undergoing abdominal surgery in January, fueling speculation about her health.
An announcement from the Kensington Palace office on January 17 stated that the Princess of Wales was sent to a London clinic on January 16 for “planned abdominal surgery.”
The statement added that the surgery was successful and Kate is expected to remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days.
Buckingham Palace said that based on medical advice at the time, the princess “is not likely to return to public duties until after Easter on March 31”
“She hopes the public will understand her desire for her children to maintain as normal a life as possible and her desire for her personal medical information to remain private,” the statement added.
Buckingham Palace later said the health problems were not related to cancer.

The photo taken by William shows Kate smiling and looking healthy, surrounded by Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte.
“Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the past two months,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), with the byline “C” standing for Catherine. “Happy Mother’s Day to everyone.”

The photo attracted widespread media attention because it was the first official photo of her since she was hospitalized for two weeks following surgery.
However, several major news organizations said it was a “modified” image and retracted it.
Kate Middleton has apologized and admitted to editing the photo after backlash on social media.
“Like many amateur photographers, I occasionally experiment with editing,” the palace issued another statement, signed “C.” “I would like to apologize for any confusion caused by the family photos we shared yesterday.”
