The controversy over the royal’s “arty” digitally altered photos doesn’t seem to be over yet.
Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, sparked controversy when she posted a digitally altered family photo on Mother’s Day. However, it turns out this isn’t the first royal photo to be digitally altered and Photoshopped.
Now, another photo of the British royal family that has been described as “digitally enhanced” has further fueled the controversy. This photo is of Queen Elizabeth II with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The news comes despite rumors about missing Kate and her husband William, Prince of Wales. Alleged affair with Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley.
The photo, taken by the Princess of Wales, captures Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by her 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, The Daily Telegraph reported, revealing that the photo was “curated at the source” by a global photo agency Digitally enhanced”.
Today is the 97th birthday of the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
The photo, taken at Balmoral last summer, shows her with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

This photo was clicked at Balmoral Castle in August 2022, in Princess admits to editing Mother’s Day photos of herself and three children.
Getty Images reviewed this photo released by Buckingham Palace on April 21 last year to mark the late Queen’s 97th birthday.
According to The Daily Telegraph, a spokesperson for Getty Images commented: “Getty Images has reviewed the image in question and added an editorial note stating that it has been digitally enhanced at the source .”
Standing in the background are the children of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, and James, Earl of Wessex.
Ahead of them are Mike and Zara Tindall’s daughter Lena Tindall, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Peter Phillips’ daughter Ella Phillips and youngest child Prince Louis Photo of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Mia Tindall and baby Lucas Tindall sit to the right of Queen Elizabeth II, while Savannah Phillips sits to her left.
The Daily Telegraph highlighted “a number of irregularities”, including a digital replica of Mia Tindall’s hair, and mismatched vertical lines in the tartan of the late Queen’s costume.
The report added: “A dark shadow can be seen behind Prince Louis’ ear and a similar small black patch can be seen behind Prince George’s shirt collar.”
These manipulated images come amid growing concerns about false or misleading visual information, especially with the rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence.
