Jim Parsons is delighted to end his 15-year tenure as Dr Sheldon Cooper with a special send-off.
The 51-year-old actor will reprise his role as big bang theory character in the series finale of the spin-off Young Sheldon this past May.
When asked about the experience of returning to the character after seven seasons, Parsons said it was both “very strange” but “also very beautiful.”
“big bang theory It’s always been a live show, and ‘Young Sheldon’ was a single-camera show,” he explains. “I got to do it with Mayim [Bialik] – We both play Sheldon and Amy in the show. “
He added, “Doing it in that context, it’s different enough so it’s not creepy. Instead, it’s really sweet.”
Parsons continued, “It felt like the best little coda to the whole experience, and I’m so grateful that they invited us to do it.”
young sheldon Iain Armitage plays the young genius, the younger version of Parsons tributyltin Features. While Parsons has narrated the show since it premiered in 2017, this will be his first in-person appearance.
Meanwhile, the parent show aired for a total of 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019.
