J Baby gets Uncut U certificate, first for Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions

Upcoming Tamil film J Baby starring actors Urvashi and Attakathi Dinesh has completed the censorship formalities and received a clean U certificate, the filmmakers announced on social media. Produced by filmmaker Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions, the film is expected to be a wholesome family entertainer. This marks the first film under the banner to receive a U certificate. While the release date of the film is yet to be announced, Palanjith said he is excited to bring a story full of real emotions to the audience without any editing or muting.

The film “J Baby” marks the directorial debut of Suresh Mari, who has assisted director Venkat Prabhu in “Saroja” and “Goa” and Pa Ranjith in Kabali and Kaala. The film stars Pa Ranjith along with Abhayanand Singh, Piiyush Singh, Saurabh Gupta, Aditi Anand and Ashwini Chaudhary’s joint support is highly anticipated.

According to reports, “J Baby” will be a family drama, with Urvashi and Dinesh playing the roles of a mother and son. Additionally, the film also stars Lollu Sabha Maran, who was last seen in Vadakkupatti Ramasamy with Santhanam. The film is a highly anticipated blend of comedy, emotion and drama.

The technical team of “J Baby” includes Jayanth Sethu Mathavan as the cinematographer, Tony Britto as the scorer, and Shanmugam Velusamy as the editor. While the film’s release date is yet to be announced, Neelam Productions, the company founded by Pa Ranjith, has a proven track record of backing films with strong narratives. Critically acclaimed films like ‘Pariyerum Perumal’, ‘Seththumaan’ and ‘Writer’ are part of the banner’s successful run.

Neelam Productions is also producing the 2024 film Blue Star, starring Ashok Selvan and Shathanu Bhagyaraj. The film was recently released to a positive response and is currently playing in theaters to great success. Additionally, the banner is co-producing Thangalaan with Studio Green. The film stars Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvottu, Malavika Mohanan and others and is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2024.
