Talking about the match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mumbai Indians made a squad change against Delhi Capitals with Shriyas Gopal replacing Piyush Chawla.

MI captain Hardik Pandya said: “Similar track but batting might be better in the evening. There has been dew in the last few days.”
