Kuldeep Yadav, who won the Man of the Match award against LSG last Friday, said: “It was difficult for me when I was unwell. I got injured in the first game and it was very difficult. It’s hard to see the team struggling in the middle of the game. Credit to Patrick for keeping me in shape and getting me ready as quickly as possible. Those three were important wickets to get three in the middle. The wickets are crucial to control the run rate. I like the first and second wickets, I have played a lot with Pooran and it was right to execute well. My plan was clear, just the length was right It’s important for me as a spin player. Very clear and confident in my skills. Whenever I feel the DRS call is 50/50 I try to push it but when it’s more 60/40 then I’m inclined to listen to Rishabh. As a bowler, you obviously want to pick DRS whenever possible.”
