Delhi Capitals registered their first win of IPL 2024 as they defeated Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs in Visakhapatnam. DC elected to bat first and posted a whopping total of 191/5 in 20 overs, with half-centuries from David Warner and Rishabh Pant. DC then restricted CSK to 171/6 despite MS Dhoni’s quick 16-ball 37. It was a visual feast for all Dhoni fans across the world as he smashed four boundaries and three sixes, but it was all in vain and CSK lost.

With their first loss of the season, CSK dropped to second place in the points table with two wins from three games and a net run rate of +0.976, while Kolkata Knight Riders jumped to the top of the table with two wins from two games. Games and net run rate of +1.047.

Earlier in the day, Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets to register their second win of the season.

DC, on the other hand, jumped to seventh place with one win from three games and a net run rate of -0.016.

Rishabh Pant made his first appearance since his return from a horror car accident as Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs on Sunday. Scored 50 runs in the IPL and took the lead in this match.
