BCCI sources revealed that the Indian Premier League (IPL) final is tentatively scheduled to be held on May 26 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It is understood that the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host one qualifier and one knockout match, while the other qualifier will be held in Chennai.

“The IPL Governing Council follows the tradition of holding the opener and final at the home ground of last year’s defending champions, Chennai Super Kings,” a senior BCCI official told PTI.

With Mahendra Singh Dhoni playing his last IPL, the knockout match in Chennai will be a feast for all the ‘Tala’ fans.

The BCCI has finalized the schedule for the remaining matches of the IPL keeping in mind the general election dates.
