‘International Labor Day’ remembered in SGR, B’Gam, Pul & SHPN

Srinagar, May 01: To highlight the importance of labor rights and generate awareness about the importance of day, District Legal Services Officers (DLSA) today visited ‘International Labor Day’ in all districts of Kashmir, which is also known as Global Workers Day, which is with great enthusiasm and power.

The day is marked every year as a celebration of the working class people on 1 May, recognizing their contribution to the society and promotes the rights and opportunities of the worker.

The event was successfully organized under the supervision of Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Chairman, Jammu -Kashmir Legal Services Authority and Shazia Taasum, Member Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority.

In Srinagar, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar organized a program to celebrate International Labor Day at the ADR Center, District Court Complex Srinagar.

Program organized under the supervision of Tasleem Arief, Chairman DLSA Srinagar (Principal District and Sessions Judge) saw the presence of Secretary DLSA Srinagar, Sajad UR Rehman; Officers, Deputy Chief Legal Assistance Defense Counsel, Srinagar Municipal Corporation DLSA Srinagar Officer, and Para Legal Volunteers.

During the incident, Secretary DLSA emphasized the importance of International Labor Day, which highlighted the need to maintain and protect the rights of workers. He outlined the value of ensuring that all workers are treated with dignity, fairness and respect, and confirmed DLSA’s commitment to carry forward legal awareness and support for laborers in the region.

Deputy Chief Legal Assistance Defense Advocate, Tasnim Kausar also addressed the gathering, highlighting the global objectives of International Labor Day. He emphasized the importance of promoting fair labor practices, improving working conditions and expanding social security to the working class, especially from the marginalized sections.

The goal of the incident was to strengthen awareness about the need to protect the rights of workers and promote culture promoting their welfare. Overview serves as a meaningful platform to repeat institutional dedication for the protection of labor dignity in all forms.

To Budgam, Under the aegis of Jammu -Kashmir Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority saw an awareness campaign on the occasion of International Labor Day at District Budgam.

The event was successfully organized under the supervision of OP Bhagat, Chairman DLSA Budgam.

The program was successfully held and held under the guidance of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary DLSA Budgam.

DLSA Budgam visited various major sites of laborers like brick kiln etc. in his unique initiative and to reach unpublished and provided awareness on the ground through his boy.

The purpose of organizing this program was to celebrate and recognize the hard work of the labor class and appreciate their contribution to the society.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Ladc, Javed Ahmed Mir highlighted the importance of International Labor Day. He said, this day is seen with the aim of raising awareness about struggles and workers and working class working in society, and it helps us to recognize the contribution of laborers and working classes in the development of society and country.

He said, “Workers are playing an important role in society and they are the backbone of a society. We should ensure that we regularly take care of their good and listen to their issues.”

He raised awareness among the participants about various acts, and also informed them about the schemes available for the workers in various governments. Department. He urged the participants to educate their parents as well as the local people about the acts and schemes available for them.

Deputy Ladak Budgam, Nazir Ahmed Wage spoke on various labor laws and government schemes available for the government. He provided awareness on the land and discussed various legal rights of the labor class.

Staff members of DLSA, PLVs, general public etc. also participated in this program.

In Pulwama, The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Pulwama, chaired by Malik Shabir Ahmed (Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pulwama), today organized an awareness program for ‘International Labor Day’ with Assistant Labor Commissioner, Pulwama.

The event was held in the conference hall of CIDCO IGC, Lassipora Pulwama, with focus on promoting safe and healthy work environment in all areas.

On the occasion, Assistant Labor Commissioner Pulwama gave a special address, highlighting various legislative measures for the purpose of welfare and protection of the labor force. He emphasized the major labor welfare laws inherent in the Indian Constitution and their important role in maintaining the rights and dignity of workers.

Speakers of DLSA Pulwama, including Deputy Chief Legal Ed Defense Council (LADC) and Assistant Ladcs, also spoke during the event. He highlighted the importance of the program, focusing on the threat of child labor, the relevant legislative provisions for its elimination and the constitutional security measures that protect the rights of children in India.

The program saw active and enthusiastic participation from students, laborers, staff members and other stakeholders.

In Shopian, Tude celebrated ‘International Labor Day’ in Shopian in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian Labor Department Shopian.

The event was organized under the direction and guidance of Chairman DLSA Shopian, Mahmood Ahmed Chaudhary.

In the program, Dr. Nida Yusuf, Assistant Labor Commissioner, Shopian participated; Sleep Ahmed, Chief Boys; Dawood Khan deputy boy; Meunu Jan, Assistant Ladc Shopian; PLVs, Labrett officials and a large number of laborers.

The Chief Ladc gave a practical address on labor laws and mechanisms to protect the rights of workers. He highlighted the important role of DLSA in ensuring legal aid and protection for laborers, emphasizing the need for awareness and enforcement of labor rules.

Assistant Labor Commissioner, Shopian emphasized the government’s commitment to the welfare of the workers and discussed the ongoing initiative to improve working conditions.

Deputy Ladc and Assistant Ladc expanded the legal measures available to the workers and the importance of accessible justice. (KDC)
