Indian group flexes muscle today after Arvind Kejriwal arrest

Following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, AAP has organized a massive rally in Delhi today that will be attended by key leaders of the Indian opposition group including Rahul Gandhi, Malikajun Haq and Akhilesh Yadav.

  1. The “Loktantra Bachao” (Save Democracy) rally, which will be held at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital but is seen as a show of strength and prowess, will be organized after Mr Kejriwal’s arrest last week in the Delhi liquor policy scam. Indian bloc unites ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

  4. The Trinamool Congress party, which has shaken the alliance by deciding to contest the Lok Sabha polls alone in West Bengal, may also field a representative. The party’s leader in the House of Commons, Derek O’Brien, is expected to share the stage with representatives of left-wing parties, including Sitaram Yechury of the CPM.   5. AAP Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will attend the rally along with other senior leaders.
