Bangalore:
Congress leader Priyank Kharge is angry that the state’s Bharatiya Janata Party social media accounts called him a “dynasty” because he encouraged them to use the word to describe several people in Karnataka. leaders whose family members are in politics.
“Dear @BJP4Karnataka, if you have the courage please use and say the word “DYNAST” to the likes of @BSYBJP @BYRBJP @BYVijayendra @BSBommai @ikseshwarappa @Tejasvi_Surya @JagadishShettar @ShashikalaJolle @UmeshJadhav_BJP @BelladArvind in Karnataka .(The list is longer across India)),” Mr. Haq posted on “X” in the early hours of Sunday morning, tagging several BJP leaders with political pedigree.
Honey @BJP4 Karnataka,

Priyank is a member of the state cabinet and the son of Congress president Malikajun Haq. His political pedigree gives the BJP an opportunity to target the Congress on the issue of dynastic politics.
To hit back at the BJP, Mr Haq even offered free DNA tests to all Karnataka opposition leaders who have family members in politics.
“If you are not sure of your origins, I am once again offering free DNA test to @BJP4India and @BJP4Karnataka leaders at my expense. Don’t hesitate, let us put an end to the debate of ‘dynasty politics’ once and for all. When they say we are dynasty & It reflects very badly on your BJP IT department when the rest of you are not dynasty and are still legal or you are not?” Priyank posted from his X handle.
Earlier on Saturday, the BJP Karnataka had reacted to a statement by Priyank criticizing the Election Commission for holding the Lok Sabha polls in seven phases.
“Mr. Dynast @PriyankKharge, dry your tears and bring your ‘star campaigner’. Maybe, he too will get ‘maximum mileage’ and let our story reach the nation. Hurry up, don’t delay any longer!” Bharatiya Janata Party Karnataka posted on X.
After the polling dates were announced on Saturday, he told ANI: “Just like last time, the way the Election Commission announced the polling dates seems to have enabled Prime Minister Modi to maximize his impact and sell the party (BJP) in states remarks. .As announced by the European Commission, the vote will be held in seven stages.”
Junior Haq further claimed that the polls are being held in a phased manner to ensure that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Center has more time to make it easier for their “star campaigners” to travel across the country.
“…it is clear that the entire election process is to ensure that the BJP has more time to make it easier for their star campaigners to move around the country,” Priyank said.
