“Four ban points equate to a ban from playing two Tests or four ODIs or T20Is, whichever happens first, and Hasaranga will miss both ICC World Test Championship Tests against Bangladesh as a result,” the governing body added.

At the same time, the ICC also fined Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis 50% of the match fee and deducted 3 points for “insulting the referee while shaking hands with the referee”.

As per the announced schedule for the first two weeks of the IPL, SRH will face Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata on March 23. They will travel to Hyderabad to face Mumbai Indians on March 27 before traveling to Ahmedabad to take on Gujarat Titans on March 31.
