A mother from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, caught the spotlight last week for all the wrong reasons. She was associated with her daughter’s fiance ten days before her marriage.
Sapna surrendered at a police station today and broke her silence as to why she chose her family to cheat. She alleged that her husband used to drink her and beat her, and even her daughter used to fight with her often. This is why, he said, he took steps.
“I will be with Rahul, whatever happens,” a disregard Sapna said, he decided to return after joining the police case.
“I will marry her and stay with her,” she repeated.
Rahul Kumar, the person Sapna’s daughter was ready to marry today, surrendered with her.
Sapna and Rahul KumaR -Dadon Police Station resident escaped on 6 April, which shocked both their families. Sapna’s husband Jitendra Kumar then said that his wife used to talk to Mr. Kumar every day.
Sapna also denied her family allegations that she ran away with millions of rupees and jewelery. “I was only taking a mobile and 200 rupees when I left”.
His daughter, Shivani, accused him of jewelery at the house of Rs 3.5 lakh in cash and more than Rs 5 lakh in the house.
Telling his side of the story, Rahul Kumar said that he agreed to ignite with Sapna because he had threatened to kill himself if he did not. “She told me that if I did not meet her at Aligarh bus stop, she would die. So, I went to Lucknow for the first time, and from there Muzaffarpur”.
He said that he decided to come back when he came to know that the police was looking for him. He also claimed that Sapna’s husband and her in -laws used to “torture” her.
But, when he was asked if he would marry Sapna, he got caught in two minds: “There is nothing like that”. Then, after a brief break, said, “Will Do”.
Meanwhile, his family has said that he is no longer welcome to his homes.
“We don’t want her (Sapna) back. We just want things that she took with her,” said her brother -in -law Dinesh.
His brother Dinesh said, “He needs to return the money and jewelery that he had taken from his in -laws’ house. Action should be taken for what he has done. My brother -in -law and my niece are still in shock,” said his brother Dinesh.
She also denied her allegations that her husband had defeated her: “I lived at her house for months. I never saw anything like that”.
Meanwhile, the police avoided commenting on development.
