The Center vs. Supreme Court got just a lot of edgier, ager. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has performed a widespread demonstration against the Supreme Court, and he is not playing the coy. Words like “Anarchy” have been thrown into the Supreme Court of land in the country by the BJP MP.
Comments have become a nuclear missile against Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s “Article 142 Democratic forces, which is available for the judiciary 24×7” comments. Following a decision by the Supreme Court, the Vice President commented, to effectively set a deadline for the President and the Governors to clean the bill.
“How can you give direction to the appointment authority? The President appoints the Chief Justice of India. Parliament enacts this country.

Mr. Dubey’s party, BJP, has not yet reacted to its MP’s explosive comments.
“The Supreme Court is responsible for inciting religious wars in the country. The Supreme Court is going beyond its limits. If anyone has to go to the Supreme Court for everything, the Parliament and the State Assembly should be closed,” an MP from Godda in Jharkhand said how the apex court has provoked religious wars.
Several petitions challenging the constitutionality of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025 include comments in the Supreme Court.
The Center had assured the Supreme Court during the hearing held on 17 April that it would not represent any ‘Waqf-by-User’ provision and would not include any non-Muslim members in the board. The assurance came a day later when the apex court said it would consider the remaining parts of the law.
The petitioners have claimed that the law violates many rights given by the Constitution, including the right to equality and freedom of religion.
Congress leader Manikam Tagore gave a statement to Nishikant Dubey’s Supreme Court on “defamation” and said that his attack in the apex court is “not acceptable.”
“This is a defamation statement against the Supreme Court. Nishikant Dubey is a person who constantly demolishes all other institutions. Now, he has attacked the Supreme Court. I hope the Supreme Court judges will take it into notice, because he is not in Parliament but beyond it. Their attack on the Supreme Court is not acceptable.
Congress MP Imran Masood said that the statements made by the BJP leader are “unfortunate”.
Mr. Masood said, “The statements coming against the Supreme Court are very unfortunate … This is not the first time that the Supreme Court has given a decision against the government … This disappointment is out of comprehension.”
The stimulating remarks of the BJP MP also followed the days after the Supreme Court, the last arbiter in constitutional rights cases, the order in a Tamil Nadu case, in which it was ruled that Governor RN Ravi’s decision to withdraw the consent for 10 bills was “illegal”. It would be prudent for the President to mention bills with constitutional questions in the Supreme Court.
Mr. Dubey’s comments reflected the example of Jagdeep Dhakhar, who raised questions against the judiciary, he said “Therefore we have judges who will enact laws, who will act as a super-parliament”.
“Recently a decision has a instruction for the President. Where are we going? What is happening in the country? We have to be extremely sensitive. It is not a question of someone’s review filed or not.
