Police are investigating after a woman grabbed her two young children at a holiday park, a father said.

Children walked together from the function room into the playground at Lizard Point Holiday Park near Mullion, Cornwall, on Sunday.

Devon and Cornwall Police said that when the father of one of the children went to look for the pair, he saw a woman they did not recognize holding the arms of each child.

The man yelled at the woman to let go of the children, which she did, and the children were returned to their families unharmed.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to track down the woman, who was said to be wearing a bright yellow top.

independent Parkdean Resorts, which operates the holiday park, has been asked for comment and whether the playground has CCTV.
