Two bodies have been discovered during a search for a missing couple who were allegedly murdered by a senior police officer in Sydney, Australia.

New South Wales police said on Tuesday the remains found at a property in the southern Sydney town of Bungonia were believed to be those of Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29 ).

Police said formal identification has not yet taken place.

Police claim the couple were murdered by Senior Constable Beau Lamar-Condon last week and say a post-mortem examination will be carried out to confirm the cause of death.

“While the bodies have not been formally identified, they are believed to be those of Luke Davis and Jesse Baird.
